Town to Check Hydro Grants Palid to Region The Town of Newcastle may have handed over too much of its Ontario Hydro grants to the Durham Region. Deloitte Haskins and Sells, the auditors for the municipality, noted in a letter to the municipality that $11,431 for payments in lieu of taxes was allocated to the Region of Durham in 1978.
