Vandal Breaks Decorative Tree on King St. Sometime during Friday night, someone as yet unictentifieci, broke off one of the recently planted dlecorative trees on King St. just east of the corner of King and Temperance on the south side. As may be seen, the tree was doing very well and was covered With colorful leaves'. Police are hoping to apprehend the vandal in the near future. Jeanne McMahon was the organist at the 2: 30 service. At a meeting following it was decided to hold a monthly service, the third Sunday of each month, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Swann minister. October 24, 1979 Provincial Court Judge Speaks to Bowmanville Kinsmen Club 5 I His Honor Judge John Bark was guest speaker last Wednesday, October 17, at a meeting of the Bowmanville. Kinsmen Club. Judge Bark is a provincial court judge who sits at Bowmanville and Cobourg. A resident of Peterborough, he was appointed to the bench in 1976. Judge Bark spoke of the dangers of drugs and of drinking and driving. In addition, he talked briefly about his profession during his address to the Kinsmen. She made an excel- lent talk on this subject, much more interesting than most services on this subject. She also spoke at Welcome.
