O IU R RUDOLF PAUL STENGER A well known and respected citizen of Enniskillen for 40 years, Rudoif Paul Stenger, passed away in Memorial Hosit, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, April 4th, 1979. In his 87th year, he had been hospitalized six weeks. Son of Professor Franz Stenger and Henriette Bleichroeder, he was born at Dresden,, Germany, and ... . ýeducated-in Dresden, Munich, and Italy. He wsmridi 1924 to Erna Wunderlich. A farmer, he retired 15 j years a o. He was a member of th7United Church. He served ir., the First World War. VERLIE, BENNETT ROBERTS A former employee at the Oshawa General Hosital in the housekeeping dep' tment, Mrs. Verlie BernnettRoberts, of 310 Elgin St., Oshawa, died suddenly at Oshawa General Hospital Tuesday, April 10, 1979. Born Aug. 1, 1916, in Sydney Mines, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emannuel Simm-s, and was married Feb. 17, 1937, in Sydney Mines, N.S. A resident of Oshw a for 27 years, she was a m(mber of Albert Street United Church, and of CUPE Local 4 . Left to mourn her passing are her husband, James Everett Roberts,; three daughters, Mrs.Joh'~ Rogers (Adeline), of s6shaw a; Mrs. Wayne Luke (CarolyIp) of Port Perry, and Mrs. Tony Casha (Barbara), of Pontypool; two sons, Hayden, of Oshawa and Bernard of Port Elgin; three sisters, Mrs. DavidWebster (Evelyn), of Guel, Mrs. Doug Ordinal (I a), of Halifax, and Mrs. Ett;I Brown, of Sydney Mines; ai brother, Bernard Simms, of Guelph; and 16 grandchildren. Legion Donates CPR'Equipment to Bowmanville Hospital The generosity of Bowmanville and area residents has made possible a recent donation to the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital. With money from their Poppy Fund, members of Branch 178 of the Royal Canadian Legion donated this life-sized plastic mannequin to the hospital. The mannequin shown here is used to teach techniques of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and it will be used flot only for training hospital staff but also for instruction to persons taking CPR courses in the community through the Board of Education.
