About 250 PC supporters attended the meeting which was held in the Blackstock Community Centre on Wednesday, March 28. Guest speakers were Durham Northumberland candidate Allan Lawrence and two fellow-MPs fromn the last Parliament, Robert Coates and Walter Baker. STARK VILLE Miss Catherine Stewart, Kendal, and Mrs. Edna Dob- son went to the Senior Citizens Home, Bowmanville onMon- day afternoon to visit Mrs. Ida McReelis and her brother Mr. Earl Spiers who is visiting from Lloydminster, Saskat- chewan. On Tuesday afternoon, Miss Dyana Layng, curator of Orono Museum, attended the unveiling of a Memorial Plaque at St. George's Anglican Church, Newcastle in memory of Bishop Charles Henry Brent. Dyana assem- bled the display of pictures, literature, etc. telling the life story of Bishop Brent. This display will spend a week in April at Trinity College School Port Hope, where Bishop Brent attended, and then be featured at Orono Museum for the summer. On Tuesday evening,- the Rebekah Lodge, Orono held their pot luck supper and birthday party. Attending were Mrs. Isabelle Trim, Mrs. Bernice Stark, Mrs. Gloria Todd and Mrs. Ruth Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Brenton Farrow spent Wednesday in Toronto with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gilbert and boys to celebrate Mich's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stark and grandson Christopher visited Wednesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Power, Clarke Union. Mr. Geoffrey Fairbank, and Mr. Lorne McNeil, both of Toronto visited Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Llew Hallowell and Jim. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Andrews visited Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burley. Mr. Gordon Fairbank, Tor- onto visited Wednesday with Mrs. John Layng, and Dyana. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bamsey visited Thursday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bamsey, Port Hope. Mrs. Ada Hallowell called on Mrs. Edna Dobson on Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Silvest- er, Sarnia spent a couple of days last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stark.« Mrs. Isabelle Trim visited Mrs. Mande Cooper, Orono on Thursday evening. Thursday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stark wère Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stark and Christopher, Knoxville, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Silvester, Sarnia. On Friday afternoon, Mrs. Bernice Stark visited Mrs. Edna Dobson. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Andrews visited Mr. and Mrs. Armand Hollingsworth and family, Crooked Creek on Friday evening. Miss Paula Robinson spent the weekend with her grand- parents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scott, Garden Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson spent the weekend in Owen Sound. They accompanied the Bewdley All-Star Hockey Team who played against Chatsworth Saturday and Sun- day and won both games. Bob is assistant coach and Scott Hallowell, Canton is a player on the team. We weîcome Mr. and Mrs. Roy Simpson, Dennis, Mark, Stewart and Paul from Orono who on Saturday moved into the former Lloyd Hallowell farm. Miss Erin Murphy, Bow- manville spent the weekend with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Murphy. Weekend guests with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Farrow and family were their grand- eidren Michael and Kim Nesbitt, Newcastle. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Todd visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Todd and family. on Saturday, Mr. Bill Han- son played for the Orono Orphans Hockey Team in the Old Timers Hockey Tourna- ment held at Orono Arena. They won the 'B' Division Çhampionship. The West Durham, Pinewood Derby Finals were held on Saturday in Pontypool Com- munity Hall. Attending in the morning 'for Design were Mrs. Jim Souch, Brian and Blaine, and Mrs. Clifford Fonk and Peter.
