Our boys outshot Stouff- ville 40 - .5 in this game. Ëowmanville's Chris Dyck got the puck behind the opposi- tion's net going back and forth waiting for one of his team- mates to get in the open and when he found John Klomp- maker in the open, he gave a perfect pass and John made little mistake and drove the puck into the net. This lead lasted until early in the third when Stouffville's Brian Todd scored to tie it up. This was al the scoring in this game. Steve Huisman did a credit- able job of filling in for this game when the Van Dyk crew had to, play without four of their regular players. On Sunday, Nov. 5 the Van Dyk Major Midgets journeyed to Oshawa to play an exhibit- ion game against the Kiwanis AAA Minor Midgets. Once again Huisman filled in for the realtors who played without the services of Sallows, Mac- Donad and Chambers who are all sidelined with injuries. Kevin Noble scored the only goal of the first period on a low slap shot that was set up by Simpson. Brook Cole kept Bowmanville in the game throughout the first period particularly as the local lads had trouble getting out of their own end and stood around letting Oshawa take target practice on our net. 1 Chuck Welsh was set up in' the siot for Bowmanville's second goal at 13:34 of the middle frame by a pass fromn Simpson and Braun. In ihe third Tforos took 4 penalties which resulted in Oshawa getting, 4 goals. Keenan got his second of the game and also Paul Reý'nolds getting 2, the, single tallies went to Gil Hughes and Mike Conacker. With less than 3 minutes remaining Toros' Barry Cullen spoiled the shutout for Oshawa on a good passîng play from Brad Clemens and Ed Osborne. This was good experience playing the tougher "AAA" competition and under the circumstances with 3 Toro nlavers beine on the iniurv list - namely Bill Hogarth, Mike Stocker and Scott Hillier, our Toros put forth a good team effort.
