On Oct. 6 the Port Perry club netted the first goal haîf way through the first period only to have the Bowmanville crew tie it up in the last few seconds. The second period continued with some hard skating and hitting with Bowmanville striking for three more goals. The third period was a continuation of the second's hard pace but no scores resulted. Stellar goaltending performances by Terry Brady and Craig German. Bowmanville goals were scored by Dana Peebles, Mark MacLean, Tim Almond and Todd Hooper. Assists went to Dan McMullen, Paul Dadson, Jon Janack, Todd Hooper and Ryan Kearney with two. Final score Bowmanville 4, Port Perry 1. Sat., Oct. 7 was the return visit by Port who came to avenge the previous evening's upset. The constitution crew was just as determined and turned in another excellent performance. Ail the scoring was confined to the second period with Todd Hooper converting a pass from Doug Dilling and Kent Wilcox followed by Mark MacLean from Ryan Kearney and Steve Ogden. Port Perry connected in the dying minutes of the period when Mike Andrews took a pass from Hal Storry and Scott Heard to beat Craig German. Terry Brady con- tinued to stymie the Port Perry shooters and came away with 3 periods'of near shutout hockey. Final.- Bowmanville 2, Port Perry 1. Sunday, Oct. 8 found the Bowmanville boys in their third exhibition game in many days, when they visi, Ajax to take on the "Hust- lers." Ajax scored twice in the first period and once in the second while Craig German kicked out many more sure scores. Bowmanville got on the scoreboard haîf way through the third when Todd Hooper scored assisted by Doug Dilling. Ajax came back to add another with only 2 minutes left. Terry Brady again turned back a lot of rubber. Final score Ajax 4, Bowmanville 1. Sat., Oct. 14 was the return match with Ajax and the Constitution Minor Midgets came out well rested this time to take on their perennial opposition. The game was a rugged one with a number of good clear hits and Ajax netted their first and only score when a blistering slap- shot ripped through Terry Brady's glove and dropped over the line, haif way through the first period. 1The second period continued in the same manner as the first - rugged. Tim Almond who had been robbed of sure goals up to this point in. the season, uncorked one of his sizzlers and evenedthe score, unassisted.
