Section Two Tie Canadian Statesman, Bownnville, October 4, 1978 9 Parking Test at Hydro's Safety Roadeo Near Bowmanville About 32 Hydro personnel working out of the Bowmanville area yard on Scugog Road had a chance to brush up on their driving techniques at a safety roadeo The rodeo was held Friday, September 22. The ânes and forestry crews based at Bowmanville were divided into teams which took turns driving a three-ton stake truck and a larger truck equipped with a trailer. Similar roadeos have been held across the Central Region of Ontario this month to promote safety. Drivers and signal men were taking part in tricky manoeuvers such as, parallel parking, docking in a simulated alleyway and a straight'line test. The parallel parking test is s hown here as a driver puts a three-ton stake truck through its paces. Mon Thank Tum Durha Direct Bown Fni Ontari Assoc, Comm at 8:0( Octû Maple Associ Meetir Caswe Ont.
