This was not to be the story as Bowmanville, with only 2 uines suited up, out hustled, them to a 5-2 lead until the 12 minute mark in the second perîod when the pace began to tell and they pulled up to a 5-4 score going into the third period. The other four members of the team arrived from a basketball tournament to bols- ter the Toros' ranks but to no avail as the score ended tied 6-6. Ryan Kearney was really flying and put in 4 beautifully set up goals, 2 from Mark McLean and 2 from Mark Matthews with Brent Thomp- son getting 2 assists also. Tim Almond put in the other two, 1 from Scott Paterson and Dona Peebles and the other from Dana Peebles and Steve scored 2 goals in the first 5 minutes. Braun was set up by Simpson and then Braun set Simpson up for another'goal. But the strong Bay Ridges team came storming back and witb their goalie sitting on the bench, tbey scored the tying goal with 30 seconds left in the game.
