Only three Port Hope batters got on base as Dean gave up a walk in the first inning, a single to Sutton in the fifth,, and the lead-off batter in the ninth reached base on a dropped third strike. Holmes had 14 strike-outs to his credit. Albert Vanider- gaast was behind the plate for the first time this year and caught a real good game. Bowmanville scored one run Robinson. A real pitchers' duel with Yelverton fortunate to win. Also on Sunday Janetville Srs. beat out Nestieton 5-3 after trailing Nestieton 3-1 in earlier innings. Robt. Burns put the game in the bag witb a 3 bagger bringing in two base runners in the 'final inning.
