Reports suggest that council bas authorized that negotiations.begin for a four to five acre site near Rossland Road and Brock Street in Whitby. Oshawa bas 100,000 of the 220,000 people in the region and some of the Oshawa councillors feel that regional ' headquarters should be located in Oshawa. Pilkey advocates an executive committee be set up to advise on a permanent location for regional buildings and the feasibility of selling the, existing facilities.
