We had a 4-2 lead eoing into the 6th but Trenton picked up 5 in the 6th and 2 more in the 7tb. The gap was losed to 9-6 in the 9th and bases were left loaded when Trenton got us out. Henry Rozema and Paul Dadson led the hitters with two each and Henry went all the way on the mound. Thursday the 25th saw Belleville at Memonial Park and the Tykes éame up with a 12-11 victory in this one. The game was tied 3-3 in the 4th when the locals scored 5 ruas on 4 bits and 4 walks. The big blow being a triple by Robbie Hodgson witb the bases load- ed. Belleville tied it up a gain in the 5th, however, we pie.ked up 4 more in the same inning to take a-12-8 lead. Robbie was again the big gun with a double scoring 2. They got 2 in the 6tb and in the 7th but fell short 12-11. Besides Robbie's fine bit- ting, Rod Plain and Paul Dadson had 2 eacb with singles going to Henry Roze- -ma and catcher Duane Major. Paul Dadson went the lst - 6th inngs on the mound witb Henry Rozema pitcbing the 7tb. On Saturday the 27th, the Tykes travelled to Peterbo- rough for their final scheduled game and put up a good fight against the league leaders. Peterborough picked up 7 runs in tbe first three innings and we scored 7 in tbe third to tie it up. These runs came on 5 bits and 3 walks wîth Robbie Hodgson driving in two witb a double, wbile Randy Henning, Rod Plain, Tobin Rowe and Duane Major contributing singles. The game remained tied until we scored 1 in the 5tb by Henry Rozema. In the 6tb the roof f ell in wben Peterborough scored 10 big runs to go abead 17-8 to taxke the game. Henry Rozema started pit- cbing and gave way to Paul Dadson in the sth. Henry came bock mid-way through the 6tb to finish up. This was the Tykes' last scbeduled game and brougbt their record to 6 wins and 10 losses for the year. They will now play Thurlow in the E.O.B.A.' "C" classification playoffs starting early in August. E N NIS KIL L EN Our Cburcb year closed witb a very wonderful service. Enniskillen and Tyrone united for the Sunday a.m. worsbip beneath a hower of lovely trees in the Enniskillen Con- servation Area witb natures background music provîded by songs of bobolinks and other feathered friends and the babbling of the brook. Our minister bad intuitively ebos- en a perfect day, ideal setting and a most appropriate order of service. A silent meditation was ohserved by the large circle of 60 worsbippers. Several events lowered the attendance sucb, as vacation time for many, the MeGill annual reunion, illness and bereavement. Hymns (1) "Let the Beauty of Jesus", (2) "The Lord's My Shepherd", to the tune of Happy Wanderer, (3) "Spirit of the Living God" and (4) "Livin2 in Ail Men' were led by Rev. Bigby. A refresh- ing story written by Mrs. Townsend using familiar Bib- le readings, Divine Arithmetic and some' Nursery stories replaced the usual formai sermon. the Children's Story on ýýlrendliness" showed that we get what we give. Offering was received by two youths, Stephen Pleasance and Peter Craig of Tyrone. Holidays are for our Manse family during August with a return to regular services on Sept. 8tb. Our community extends deep sympathy to the sorrow- ing wife and familiesof the late Mr. Fred Ferguson. Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Ashton were entertained last week by their immediate family viz: Karen and Charles Ashton, Lois and Keitb Worden and Richard to celebrate a 33rd wedding anniversary. Glad to report Mrs. A. The Base Line Good Neigh- bour Clubs July meeting was beld at the home of Miss Ann Hoît at 12 noon on Wednesday the l7th when Ann served a delicious chicken pie and other delectable goodies for lunch.
