'I e e- e CANADIAIN CLUB NOTES Rev. J. B. Fraser, Columbus, bas consented to address the next mneetb- ing of, the Club which is iikely to be heid Friday, March 21st. His faub- ject will be "The Role of the Anglo- Saxon". Meimbers, keep this date clear as Rev. Mr. Fraser is a brilliant speaker. We don't kno'w when the nieibers generaily have expressed such gen- uine satisfaction an'd delight of the a.dcresses g-iven as those deli'vered by Judge Hi. S. 'Mott and Mr. K. J. Dunstan. The thanks of the Club is due Mr. J. HI. H. Jury for securing these men. Mention was omuitted in our re- port of the last banquet to the music provided, while the dinner was being served, by an orchestra composed of Messrs. Lorne Jackm-ran, pianist, Clarence Bonmbard and Lewis Scott, violinists. It ýwas an added feature to the evening's entertainamrent an'd greatly enjoyed by ail present. Bowmianville citizens have more than an ordinary interest in Canadian Clubs, for it was one of Our Own' native boys who was the originator of this idea and bas done so much to make the m-ovement the power it exerts throughout Canada and be- yond its borders. We refer to Lieut.-Col. C. R. McCullough of Hamiilton, who is Hon. President of the Association of Canadian Clubs and also Hon. President of Bowman- ville Canadian Club. Tu acknow- ledging bis re-election to the latter office hie wrote W. J. Morrisoh, B. A., President of the local club, this letter being re*ad at the last meeting of the club. It just souis like Charlie, big hearted, loyal and true Canadiain that he is: - 1 --- -29c 1 ý 1
