Town Clerk Vicki Tytaneck said 4,930 residents voted over the 10 days at locations across Oakville -- up from the 4,253 people who took ad- VOTE 2014 vantage back in 2010. As of Nomination Day, Sept. 12, there were 125,722 eligible voters in Oakville compared to only 121,330 in 2010. Contaminated piles of leaves or leaves that have been put out after the pickup dates will not be collected. Homeowners are responsible for removing uncollected leaves. Put the raisins away and hand out `get active' swim/skate passes instead! For the month of October, the town is selling swim/skate passes for the reduced price of $5 for 10 tickets (50 cents per swim or skate) to encourage Oakville's little ghosts and goblins to have fun while exercising. `Get Active' Halloween passes are available for purchase at town pools, community centres or Town Hall and are redeemable from November 1 to December 31, 2014 for children/youth aged two to 14 years. Our winter service will clear the snow pile left at the end of your driveway after the road has been plowed.
