The first rural youth ty centre in Ontario is soon to be set up on the site of the former air training centre at Cayuga. Under the supplementary agricultural, education plan made publie in June it is proposed to set up. in each county a centre for junior farmer education, for both boys and girls. A three-months' residential course will be the core of the program. Britain to Retain Emergency Powers British Labor Government intends to retain wartime emergency powers possibly for five years, Home Secretary James Chuter Ede disclosed in Commons last His statement came soon after the House reassembled to tackle hs big budget of work ranging from the economic problems of post-war trade and reconversion to the problems of peacetime foreign policy. Mr. Ede reminded members that the present Emergency Powers Act would expire Feb. 24, 1946. He announced that the Government would introduce legislation as soon as possible to maintain "the necessary residue of power over the transitional period."
