Charity golf for Hearing Society The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) of Peel-Halton-Dufferin is look ing for golfers of any ability to partici pate in what is shaping up to be its best charity golf tournament yet. The seventh annual Charity Golf Tournament for CHS will tee off at 11:30 am on Aug. 27 at Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton. All event proceeds will go to support services provided to people who are deaf, deafened, hard-of-hearing and their fam ilies in the Peel-HaltonDufferin Regions. "This year's tournament is going to be our most exciting yet as we have some great prizes to be won including a car if you get a hole-in-one and a keg of beer if you are closest to the keg," said Willis Czepiela, Special Projects Coordinator. There will be other fun contests including bring back the ball, closest to the pin, and longest drive for both the men and women. Closing out the evening will be a silent auction, delicious buffet dinner and awards ban quet where everyone can kick back and socialize. Cost to participate in this tournament is $140 per person or $500 per four some, including 18 holes of golf, use of power cart, all-you-can-eat buffet and banquet, player gift bag, prizes, oncourse competitions and silent auction.
