Half of our industrial production is now on war output. This reduces supplies of civilian goods. If we pay higher than ceiling prices for civilian goods in short supply we &re helping to start inflation. Like ix bomb, inflation would disrupt our f ow of war supplies to the fighting fronts. -V- Only visitors staying in Canada for ?i period of 5 days or longer are entitled to ration cards. "And I saw a little Wayside Church." --Grayson. Our Text-- "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."--Jesus. Our Verse-- "Hail brothers and farewell, You are twice blest brave hearts; Double your glory who have perished thus, For your have died for freedom and you have vindicated us." --A Seeger. Our Sermon-- a.^^ solemly we vow in the hour o& struggle that we shall never forget them nor the sacrifice they have made. How easy it is when the conflict has passed and the world is at peace to forget that vow. No cenotaph of honour will do justice to our gallant dead if we betray the trust that their sacrifice has imposed upon us. The care of widows and orphans they leave behind them constitutes cne of the most sacred duties of the State that has called upon them to die. A town where little children have every chance to be what they are capable of being, where toil is requited with its honest due, where age has no fear of want, where justice is the heritage of all, that is the best memorial we can build to the memory of our sons who have died for a world like that. "Oh Lord of Life where'er they be, Safe in Thine own Eternity, Our dead are living unto Thee. --F. L. Hosmer. Our Prayer-- Oh Thou whose Cross is the measure of Thy purpose to save the World, make us more worthy of the sacrifice whereby our world is saved to Freedom ?n& to right, )p.id * bo :^ whose love incomparable has led them to die for us all. Amen. -->--- ANDEE TODD WAITE After an illness of about three weeks, Andee Todd Wait passed away at his home at Vernonville, on Sunday, December 31st, 1944, in his 78th year.
