He w as given the MVP basketball aw ard at Q u een Elizabeth Park and nom inated for D efensive Linem an of the Year for the O n tario Varsity Football League. Currently, Bryan is trying o u t for Team O ntario, to co m p ete in the Football C anada Cup. His diverse future goals include going to universi ty to study econom ics, playing varsity football and, if possible, exploring the possibility of play ing pro football. H er athletic achievem ents include: A thlete of the Year aw ard in grade 9, voted MVP for Senior basketball, n am ed to th e H am ilton Spectator All-Star Team, and in th e Top 25 players in the GTA for basketball. As for her future plans, Kerra will be attending Franklin Pierce C ollege in N ew H am pshire on a full basketball scholarship this fall. S tudent's N am e: Brianna W alsh School N am e: St. M ildred's-L ightbourne School G rade: 9 N o m in a to r's N am e: Shari Renwick A m bitious an d highly m otivated are just tw o w ords to describe St. M ildred's student Brianna W alsh - and she's only in g rade 9. H er nom inator, Shari Renwick, adds team player, very giving, strong sense of co m m it m ent to th e school com m unity and a student w h o strives for ex cellen ce to th e list. Brianna's ach iev em en ts to d ate have in clu d ed c o m peting at th e N ational Level for h o rseback riding and a M em ber of th e Provincial Track Team (York Team). She w as the founder and driving force for the school's Art C ouncil, co-ordinato r of a fashion show, organizer of tw o film nights, Earth Day Activity O rganizer, Yearbook photographer and a student liaison on the Environm ental Planning C om m ittee for the H alton Board of Education. A cadem ically, Kara's high m arks are evident in her 91% in art, and her volunteer efforts w ere put to use at the Royal O n tario M useum .
