MAIURRO, Giustina (nee Capannelli) April 8, 1934 With her boys by her side, Giustina passed away peacefully on August 13, 2014 in her 81st year. She will be greatly missed by her sons Frank (Rosanne), Angelo, and Rob (Fiona). Giustina was the much loved "Nonna Bella" to the well fed Christopher, Austin, Madison and Alexandra. Giustina joins her beloved husband Guglielmo, her parents Giuseppina and Angelo, and her late brothers from Ascoli Piceno, Italy. She will be dearly missed by her eldest brother Pietro (Natalina) and sisterin-laws Maria (Ercole) and Marianne (Domenic). She was also sister-in-law to Angelina (the late Michael), Vito (the late Francesca), Pasqualina and Nick (Elisa). Her many nieces and nephews will miss their Zia Giustina as well as many friends in Oakville, including those who worked with her at General Electric for over 25 years. Giustina was a beautiful, caring woman with a big heart. She always greeted everyone she met with a hug and a kiss and the question "Did you eat?". She was a very proud and generous woman whose biggest pleasures were her grandchildren and sharing espresso and (competitively) playing Scopa and Briscola with family and friends. She loved to cook for her family and anyone who stopped by her house and she cherished all the times she made her legendary lasagna, stuffed olives and Italian cookies with her sister-in-laws and close friends. Milan is survived by his wife Ellen, son Filip and daughter Dominika, parents Milan and Anezka, sister Zdenka and brother Lubomir and their families, and by Ellen's son and daughter and their families. Milan was born in Slovakia and there spent his childhood and early adult years. He worked as a graphic designer for the city of Trencin after studying at the Secondary College of Applied Arts. Seeking better opportunities, he emigrated to Canada in 1990. Milan was an accomplished artist, designer, dancer and instructor. After graduating with Honors from Sheridan College Interior Design program, he established his own design business, Milan Design. Since 2002, he taught at Sheridan College for the faculties of Interior Design and Interior Decorating. Milan was a talented dancer and dance instructor. Milan was very engaged in life. He loved people, fun, laughter, art, music, dance, travel and nature. Milan lived in the moment finding joy in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. He was a deep thinker and often provided a different perspective that brought out the best in those around him. Faith, family and friends were important to Milan and in faith, family and friends he found strength and support. Milan, till we meet again . . . kym sa znova stretneme . ..
