"But now that she's at Revera, there's no fear. She can go wherever she needs to go and it's a safe environment. Everybody on every floor seems to know Shirley -- she's quite the character." Reid was a cheerleader in high school and Binsky notes she's glad to see her mother return to form. "That type of (outgoing) person doesn't disappear. It's the same person that's come back now," she said. "Since moving into Revera, she's been the happiest person and gone back to being this real energetic lady. She has no health issues... now she sings and dances wherever she goes." While this is the first time Reid and her daughter are participating in the Big Bike Challenge, Binsky swims with the Etobicoke Masters team, which holds an annual mile swim fundraiser for Heart & Stroke. "The good thing (with Big Bike)," Binsky noted, "is that you don't really have to ride the whole time. If you get tired, you can just stop pedalling. And I thought, what a great idea.
