Soapy Soanes Award Dr. Alexandra Ginty was this year's recipient of the Dr. E.P. Soapy Soanes Award. This award was established in recognition of the first Chief of Staff and longstanding member of the Department of Family Medicine at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). It is awarded to a family physician at OTMH who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the Hospital and Community in the areas of clinical practices, community health, hospital programs, continuing medical education and community involvement. Parsons Bursary Recipients Established in 1987, in recognition of Lillian H. (Joy) Parsons' 36 years as Executive Director of Oakville- Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH), this fund provides annual bursaries to assist children of OTMH staff with their post-secondary education. The bursary is funded through donations to the Lillian H. Parsons Bursary Fund with only the interest of being used for bursary disbursements. Criteria for selection of bursary candidates are based on academic grades, volunteer and community involvement as well as extracurricular activities. This year's Lillian H.
