The death occurred of pneumonia, on Wednesday, in Kingston, Jamaica, of George Henry Wales, father of Dr. H.C. Wales, of Toronto. He had just returned to his home in Kingston, after a visit to this city, and took ill on the steamer. He was born in Markham, Ont., Christmas Day 1847, and on going to Kingston in 1877 established a carriage business with his brother James. He is survived by six sons and two daughters. One Son, George, is in England with the 74th Battalion. Mrs. Wales was formerly Miss Aggie Boughner and taught in the Grimsby Public School when Mr. J. Brodie was principal. She was a sister of Mrs. R.H. Kemp of Grimsby.
