There is no mission work of our church which has proved more en- couraging than that which was be- gun in Manchuria by Dr. Goforth ten short years ago. Mr. Davis, whose work centres in and around Taonan, has oversight of thirty churches. We, with headquarters at Szepingkai, have oversight of as many. How do we 0 en new churches ? We will receive a let- ter from a community, from some one who in some way has heard the gospel. The letter will say, Send us an evangelist; we will d-0 the rest. They build their own churches and meet incidental ex- penses. We just furnish the evan- gelist. Our work is altogether! evangelical. We have no institution- al work.
