Mr. Curran was with the Globe for a few years and later with the Essex Chronicle. Ir 1884 he assisted his father in estab- lishing the News-Letter, but. in thr Yukon gold rush in 1898 he went to the Klondyke, where he remained for e.ip:h-t years. On his return he again joined `the News-Letter, which he later controlled.
