After they nished school there has been nothing to interest them outside there own home. The Junior Institute was, of course, the proper organization for these girls, but there were -not enough girls in any one community to form a Junior Institute. It was suggested that we form an Institute in Barrie to take in the girls in the surrounding dis- trict. This had its drawbacks, too. When you get fty or sixty girls to- gether, who have not been used to taking part in discussions, they are not going to express their opinions 1 before so many, or do they giye an idea of what they are capable of do ing. This makes it diicult for the president to bring out the talents of, these girls.
