Simmons Residence Destroyed Fire of unknown origin completely destroyed the residence of Chas. Sin`- mons on Burton Ave. Wednesday afternoon. Flames were devouring the roof before the re was rgst noticed by a neighbor, and when the re brigade arrived the inside was nearly gutted. Lines of hose were played on the ames, but by the time they were subdued only the outside walls remained standing. The occu- pants of the house, Chas. Simmons and his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. W. Ferguson, are at I a loss to understand how the fire started. They were all away at the time and stated that no fire had been lit on the premises that day. The house was a frame structure and burned very quickly once it got started.
