Complete jsuccess attendedthe ef- forts. of` the Barrie Agricultural Soc-` iety, in_ the annual `spring fair on Thursday last. There was a much larger crowd than last year, while the various classes were better lled. The exhibit of heavy draught stal-- lions was especially praiseworthy, `there being no less vthaniten animals in the competition. It is doubtful if any better quality of horses could i have been `found in the. -Province. Mr.` John .'Bright1 of `Myrtle was judge, and had no little difficulty in separating the winners. His work gave general satisfaction. The Dir- ectors _this year had the good fore~ sight to `fence off -the. judging -ring, and this offered free scope to the movements of the horses and their grooms, whileat the same time fac- ilitating the operation of making the selections. The weather was clear, but a little chilly. Prize-winning owners :-- Heavy Draugh-ts- -I, Alex. Graham, Oro Station; 2,; W. W.Beelby,. Thorn- ton; 3, Chas.
