Mann vs. Taylor was an action for money due on a painting contract. Plaintiff took the job of painting Stroud Methodist Church, but did not finish it. He had entered into an agreement with defendant to quit the job on receiving an equitable` .-amount for the work done. Defend- ant maintained that he had paid plaintiff full value. `Judgment `for plainti for $34. The other suit,` Armstrong vs. Doran, was to recov-l er $65.82, the balance due on a con- tract for raising a house and putting in a cement foundation, etc. De- fendant alleged that the work was improperly done and counterclaimed for $60 damages. Judgment was re- served.
