T - A . feree` ' E T On Friday last Cooketown hockey team journeyed up to this burg to_ play a friendly game with our boys but it ended in the roughest game ever seen here. Of course, Cookstowne thought that they could trim our team hands down and when they saw it impossible they started in with rough play but they found their match. Neither aide played hockey but , ghinney. In the first half there was some [nice playin neither side scoring. Our iboya kept t a puck in Oookstown tern- tory more than two-thirds of the time. Whenthe teams came out to play the sec- ond half they seemed to go in for blood. There were only four men on the tenoe where the referee should have had nearly both teams at times. The play had gone on for ten minutes when Oookatown; auc- oeeded in scoring the first goal, but it seemed as our boys were not going to make a goal. Near the last the game got very rough. With two minutes to play at little scrap started and the two players .wereeput_to the fence. -.When the puck was faced again Thornton made a rush and tiedthe score.
