Those people who believe that it is unlucky will be pleased to hear that in the case of the Myrtle s accident on Sunday that there were 13 people o_n the boat at the time and that the rowhoat the steamer was `towing was number 13. The accident consisted in the cylinder blowing its head off and break- ing the cross piece of the piston rod. For- tunately at the time the boat was nearly into the Peninsular Park dock and it was an easy matter for some men to tow it in. It was not so easy, however._ for those who were left at the Point.
