The absence of noise in the class rooms, the hasty yet orderlv dismissal at recess, and the speedy re drill all the pupils being out of the school in one minute and without confusion, indicate that pupils are taught to move with precision and to keep in their proper places. thus respecting the rights of one another. `I,;, , 1 I `II II ULIC GIJUIJIJCL 0 The -ventilation and cleanliness of the school are very commendable features. Cleanliness and tidiness are taught practi- cally, for boys and girls are compelled to keep their part of the floor free from paper or litter. and to arrange their books tidily in their desks. Care is also taken that pupils do not wantonly destroy their text books. Caretaker Wooding has the lawns, yards and walks clean and in good order. The legisla- tive grant increased from $188.25 to $210, and the rest of the deciency was made up by increased revenue from renting the up- stair parlor and rooms. $189 was spent for new books and $22 05 for binding.
