Apart from her elocutionary powers, deepinterest is excited in her from her poetic gifts and because she is the inter- preter of her own poetic thoughts There is one most pleasing feature about Miss Johnson's performance-she is perfectly natural. There is no sign of the articiality of the so-called schools of elocution either in the intonation of voice or" in her gestures, but they conform admirably to the subjects she is poutraying and to the rhythm and sweet music of poetic numbers.
