Celebrate New Year's Around the World The Halton Multicultural Council (HMC) is hosting its annual New Year's Around the World and Volunteer Appreciation event Thursday, March 6. Open to the community from 4:30-8 p.m. at the HMC head office, 1092 Speers Rd., the free event will feature display tables, entertainment, desserts and refreshments, and New Year's celebrations from 15 international cultures.
