Mark and Luke are buried in Italy, the former at Venice and the latter at Padua. St. Paul's remains are also believed to be inltaly. Peter is buried" in Rome, in the church which bears his name ; so, too, are `Simon and Jude. James the Lesser is buried in the Church of the Holy _ Apostles. Bartholomew in the church on that Island in the Tiber which bears his name. VTwenty-ve years ago nearly every man ` ehawed, and the boy who could not hold his din ner and a ` quid at one and the `same time was voted a milksop by his fellows. Now not one man in- three chews tobacco,- and the `boys do not take kindly` to the habit. 2 _ Fine cut has gone almost com- pletely out" of fashion, and the ` plug is slowly following suit. But smoking is on the increase, a habit more cleanly but innitely more serious than chewing. Excessive smoking sometimes abcts a man very much like excessive drinking. A death certicate was tiled lately in the oice of the New York Board of Health which is probably the strangest document of its kind ever known. It set forth, over the signature of Dr. M. A. Dale, that Arthur J. Yeo, had died from tastingelectricity. The case, `as related by Dr._ Dale. is one of_ the most `remark-. able that has ever come under the eye of medical science, and shows that Yeo succeeded in inventing a new and unique form of dissipation which the sequel proves to have been equally "as dangerous as the morphine or cocaine habit. Yeo, who was 27, and an electrician, came from England. For a year or more he had been` making odd experiments on: himself with electricity. His method was. to use a battery with hand wires and an instrument which he could insert between his teeth. At `first he` used the tester rarely. Lately. however, he had used it exclusively, abandoning the hand wires. Daily the instrument was placed in his mouth, and with the tip of his tongue attached he put on the battery. Constant use of this queer and novelform of taking electric shocks acted upon his system much as morphine and other" similar poisons. . As the morphine end requires bigger" doses, so it was with Yeo. a With each time he used the current it became necessary to make it stronger. At length the electric strain so told upon his system that it induced nervous speplexy and nally death. So Dr. Dale certied. Yeo literally tasted electricity unto death. ' - A aA|_- . FREE. 1-1 .
