O. F. Hall rDunlop st ` the usual meeting place of Bal- moral Camp No. 10, and was in every sense a well deserved success. We give here the programme, with the names of the perfor-. mers. every one Scotch, if not a Scotch. The singingof the various songs almost made the Scots among us greet, we- could almost look back and see ourselves wandering by Bonnie Doon, wading across the rye, or in the elds ofvbarley andzeven lying doon and deeing for Bonnie Annie, Laurie and the singing of the auld Scotch songs remind . ed us of our fathers and mothers long since laid to rest in the dear old land. The strains ofthe ddle reminded us of how we used to to trip the light fantastic and we almost felt as if we could reel and hook it up once more as of yore. Mr. J ._ Galbraith the retir~ ing chief occupied the chair, Mr. J. C. Mor an, who claims to be half Scotch, the best alf, was the accompanist and of course was the right man in the right place. Rev." Mr. McLeod, who had not expected to be able tolbe present and so- was not on the programme, was happily able to be a guest and being called upon by the chairman made a few remarksin his usual happy and forcible style, giving an opening for the chair to remark he thought all who were Scots andwere not already members of the society would at once become so and those not Scots would again search their genealog- ical tree to see if they cannot qualify and join too, clam that the society is patriotic to Scotland, loyal to Canada and Leal and . loving to everybody. This news- paper for the women of North America. is invested with a new interest to its readers in the County of Simcoe from the fact that it is now edited by Miss Madge Robertson, daughter of Henry Robertson, Esq , L L B., of Collingwood. THE ADVANCE has already expressed its opinion of Miss Robertson as a writer.
