Condolences through www.koprivataylor.com MACEACHERN, Genevieve (nee Gray) - Age 78, of Oakville, Ont, formerly of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully on Feb 8th, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Genevieve was born in West Bay Marshes, Cape Breton and was the daughter of the late William Gray and Mary Bessie (Campbell) Gray. Survived by sons Paul (Catherine) Dartmouth, William Oakville; and Tony (Denise) Oakville; daughters Kathleen (Leo) Gratton Oakville, Karen (Brian) Kelly Dartmouth, Diana Costa (Oakville); grandchildren Lisa (Chris), Susan (Kent), Adam (Shannon), Matthew, Melissa (Jeff), James (Chantel) and Cameron; great-grandchildren Evan, Katie, Dakota, Sydney, AJ and Charlotte Rae; sister Miriam Ryer (Halifax) and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Genevieve was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 50 years Walter; brothers Alex, Roderick, William, Donald and Howard MacLean; sisters Evelyn Gray and Katherine Halliday. Family was most important to Mom. She defined what a wife, mother and grandmother should be. She was a tireless homemaker, taking great pride in her cooking and baking and making a warm and comfortable home for her family. Special thanks to Dr. Omar Zayid, Dr. Cindy Quinton, Linda Taborowski Home Care nurse , the staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House for their wonderful care, and to the numerous family and friends for their love and support during this time.
