St. Patrick Social The Anglican choir held a St. Pat- rick social in the Parish Hall on Mon- day evening. The ladies were dressed in white and Ereen and several Irish ehoruses were sung by the choir. Pr szressive euchre and crokinole furnish- ed the evening s entertainment and the prizes were won by Miss Mamie Greenlaw and Bert Rowley for euchre and Mrs. Albert Shrine and Wallace McConnell for crokinole. During the evening a short address and presentation of a pipe and pock- et knife were given to Bro. H. J. Play- er as a birthday gift, March 16 being his seventy.-third birthday. It was agreed that the Institute give $5.00 to Elrnvale-Flos Horticultural Society. $3.00 for special prize for basket of cut owers and $2.00 to general fund. Mrs. F. Drysdaie. Mrs. D. C. Harvie and Mrs. E. Simpson conveyed thanks to Institute for flowers received when sick. It was decided to hold a Hard- Times social in the Parish Hall on March 24. The roll call was answered with some good household hints. Mrs. W. A. Malcolm gave a splendid paper on What the Homemaker Should Know and How She Can Learn It.
