As a result of work previously done, it is now fairly .certain that Barrie will `hold . in future the show of the county. Barrie is in No. '7 district which comprises York, `Peel, Dufferin and lsimcoe `Counties and will start off the famous A. J. H. Eckardt trophy at the next local show, Jan- uary *8 to 10, 1929. This trophy consists of a 2-piece silver dessert set, '24 carat gold-lined and is won outright each year. It has been placed on Barred Rocks this year.
