The Late Mrs. Frank Benoit Gananoque Reporter --Gananoque people were deeply grieved on,Sat- urday, Oct. 20, when the sad ne'Ws reached here of the death in Mon- treal of a former Well-known and highly esteemed resident in the per- son of Mrs. Eleanor Benoit. The de- ceased lady was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Patrick Ivey, one time prominent residents of the township of Lansdowne. She came to Gananoque to reside when still `a young girl and made her home here for many years. She was twice married. Her first husband was Mr. Jas. Shine and five children by this union mouarn her loss. They are John and Patrick and Bernard of this town; Jas. of Vvhite Plains, N. Y. and Miss Mary Elizabeth -Shine, R. N., of New York and Miss Nellie of Montreal. Her husband. who is a Wellknown C.-l\T.R. conductor on the passenger train between Toron- to and Montreal, also survives.
