Hundreds of sparrows made their home and got a `real good living in the village last winter. So what can the average per- son do under such conditions? ' Glad in non; l-hair nm ...:a....._ ..n nus- vcasu. I hear. many of our farmers re- marking on the extra large number of sparrows around this `summer and their destructive work in ; the harvest fields. Most of the farmers are to blame for `the sparrow pest. During `the winter season when feed is scarce and the pesky sparrow hangs around the barn they could easily be shot, while the village sparrow could_ be treated likewise. I have noticed hun- dreds of` sparrow nests in places where they could very easily be destroyed, allowed to go unmolested, where large families` were -brought __out, adding greatly to the already dose now existence. .
