His death was not un- gexpected as he had been in failing health [for two years. He was in his 83rd year, : having been born in Toronto on March .10, @1841. Asa youth of 18 heeame to Dal- 3 seen with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David , Jarnieson, and spent the `remainder of his days there farming until he retired fifteen years ago. In 1867 he married Miss Isa- bella Watson who predeceased him "thirteen years. They had no family. Mr. Jamieson 1 was the last of a family of seven sons and 1 one daughter. He` was a brother of the late _Jar_nes~`Jamieson and-Mrs. Jo`hn.~John- ` ston of Barrie. Mr. Jamieson was of a j bright and cheery nature and stood high in the estimation of all who knew him. The funeral took place yesterday -afternoon, ser- vice being held in Craighurst Presbyterian Church where deceased had been an elder for over 25 years. Rev. J. McEwan was A the officiating clergyman and the pall- bearers were: James Gaston. Geo. Fraser, Arch. Debenham, Richard Williams, Thee. Nelson and Wesley Brown. Rural Dean Dew performed the cere- mony. The church was beautifully decorat- ed with Autumn leaves and owers, and a large bell hung in the chancel, under which the ceremony took place.
