W: IJUIIIC IIUIUC A bright young life went out last week when Lulu Adella, eldest daughter of Mrs. Partridge and the late Thos. Partridge, died at her home here on Tuesday, Jan. 30, aged twenty-seven years. Miss Part- ridge had been in frail health for over four years owing to a severe attack of rheuma- tism which weakened her heart and caused other complications. But with the coming of spring her recovery was looked for and her sudden death cameas a shock to many friends. Lulu was a beautiful girl, a treasure in her home, and possessed the qualities that go to make a lovely woman. Illness came when life was very sweet to her, but her cheerfulness and smiling face when reverses came were a silent inspira- tion to those who came in contact with her, and those who came to cheer her went away cheered themselves. Made perfect through suffering. The funeral tookvplace at Dalston on Thursday afternoon and was largely attended. V. Hickling, V. Church, W, Currie; I. Partridge, C. Rob- son and H. Bertram were the bearers. Be- sides floral offerings from friends -in Toron- to, Barrie and this locality, there was a wreath from the Mission Circle, of which deceased was a member. Rev. G. H. Knight-on conducted the service and spoke with deep feeling of the deceased. The Edgar Quartette sang a favorite hymn, O'er Jordan s Waves I Do Not Fear." She is survived by her mother, one broth- er and one sister, to whom the sincere sym- pathy of the community is extended. Feb. 6.--Mrs. A. Grose of Barrie is-with her daughter, Mrs. H. Stewart.
