Burton to lead police board this year Oakville Mayor Rob Burton will head the Halton Regional Police Services Board this year. Burton, who has served as a member of the police board since 2010, was elected to the position of chair during a board meeting last week. In accepting his new role, the Oakville resident emphasized the board's commitment to ensure that residents of Halton continue to receive the highest standard of police service that is effective, efficient and highly respected.
