There is an open house and workshop at Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 30) at which people can share their vision for what the downtown area should become. There will be discussion about creating a cultural hub and redesigning the functionality and look of the downtown streets. "We need to upgrade our cultural facilities and now is your opportunity to provide input on how best to do that," said Mayor Rob Burton. "Our theatre, art gallery and library are being challenged to meet the growing needs of our citizens and users, and reconstruction of Lakeshore Road is already in our capital budget; so we have an opportunity to not just make changes that we need, but to make changes that will make Oakville the most livable community in Canada." see Open on p.4 The Bronte Creek Residents Association celebrated the opening of a new community skating rink, located on the soccer eld in Valleyridge Park.
