Flags will fly at half-mast for Mandela The Town of Oakville announced Monday that all flags at Town facilities would be lowered to half-mast over the weekend to honour Nelson Mandela. The former president of South Africa, who dedicated much of his life to ending the country's system of Apartheid, died Dec. 5 at his home in Johannesburg. He was 95.
