www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, December 12, 2013 | 22 Navigator Program gets $50K boost from real estate board Halton Healthcare Services' (HHS) Navigator Program got a $50,000 boost thanks to the Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB). The donation was made Tuesday at the board's annual general meeting and Christmas luncheon and marked the first time the OMDREB has supported three charities in its annual fundraising efforts. The Canadian Cancer Society was supported with a $7,500 donation in the midst of celebrating its 75th anniversary as a nonprofit organization. Habitat for Humanity Halton was also a recipient of the OMDREB's fundraising this year and will be the board's main charity in 2014. The charitable effort for the Navigator Program continues with every dollar donated to the cause, before Dec. 31, being matched two and a half times by two local benefactors. The Navigator Program provides children and youths, aged 18 and under, and their families with support in finding the best mental health services offered by HHS. The OMDREB represents more than 1,500 Realtors in the communities of Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills and the surrounding areas.
