Carriers Wanted l Obituaries HARBOSIN, George It is with great sadness to announce the passing of George Harbosin on Monday, October 14, 2013, surrounded by his family. Born to Radu and Victoria Harbocianu on March 13, 1916, George was predeceased by his wife Louise (Caron) and daughters Lise and Suzanne. Left to always remember him are daughter Isabelle (Don) Weaver and son Robert (Liz) Harbosin, granddaughter Kate Harbosin, grandsons Craig and Ryan (Suzanne) Weaver and great granddaughters Thea and Reagan Weaver. George served his country in WWII as a fitter with the "Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers", he was as a mechanic in the gold mines in Val-d'Or, Quebec and then worked for many years until his retirement, as a millwright for St. Lawrence Cement in Oakville, ON. Greorge was an Ontario Horseshoe Champion and an avid golfer. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sykes House, and all of Allendale in Milton, Ontario for their outstanding care and compassion shown towards George and his family throughout his stay. A celebration of his life will be held at Allendale 185 Ontario St. S. Milton in the Cafe Bar on Friday, November 15th, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All are welcome. After a well-traveled life, highlighted by their own brand of adventure, he is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Nancy, who has always stood resolute by his side. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Heather (Geoff) Praine of Comox and Wendy (Larry) Crawford of Errington. She was predeceased by her daughter Janet Pawson in 1977, and her brothers Richard (Dick) Chisholm and Ian (Jock) Chisholm, and is survived by her sister-in-law Micheline Chisholm. Shirley leaves behind six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will forever miss her family parties filled with delicious food, games and laughter. She was our beloved matriarch.
