After being pinned for close to three hours, the victim was eventually freed by Oakville firefighters at the scene on Dundas Street near Sixth Line. Oakville Fire Chief Lee Grant said at around 12:07 p.m. the Ready Mix cement truck slid into a basement excavation site and rolled, trapping its driver. According to Halton police, the driver was positioning his cement truck in order to offload cement onto a concrete pumping truck.
