OSC teams win SRSL championships The Oakville Soccer Club's under-17 girls B team (pictured, right) recently won its first South Region Soccer League first division League Cup title. Oakville clinched the title with a shootout win over division rival Hamilton Sparta. The teams were tied 2-2 through regulation time and overtime, then needed a second round of penalty kicks before Oakville prevailed. Members of the team, which also finished first during regular-season play, are Lauren Backa, Rachel Coles, Bailey Dean, Britnie DiBlasio, Emily Droppo, Melanie Dubois, Emily Ellis, Liana Giovino, Brittany Grist, Sarah Henein, Saya Holden, Olivia Holmes, Tayler Klein-Hermelink, Gabrielle Martin, Taylor Sabatelli, Gabriella Vojtila, Arielle Zamdvaiz and Anastasia Zis. Art DiBlasio is the coach, trainers are Susan DiBlasio and Sandra Giovino, and co-managers are Michael Grist and Peter Coles. U15 girls claim Premier Division title OSC's under-15 girls B team claimed the SRSL Premier Division crown this season, concluding a 12-2 campaign with a 3-0 blanking of Flamborough in the season finale. Oakville won its first 10 league games and cruised to the finish line, finishing 11 points ahead of its nearest competitor. The team showed its dominance in a come-from-behind 4-2 win over Mount Hamilton A, when Oakville scored three times in 25 minutes despite being down a player because of an infraction. Members of the team are Ashley Diana, Marta Tkaczuk, Sarita Macaldaz, Hannah Baillie, Megan Harrison, Jess Twerdun, Melissa Misztal, Chantal Pande, Carter Merrigan, Emma Guerin, Hannah Ritchie, Lexi Noden, Julianna Martino, Lauren Georgopoulos, Kathryn Manarin, Shannon Charters, Niki Rowland and Mabel Dunn.
