Description
Full Text

In the death of Miss McCurdy another young life succumbed to that dread disease, consumption, last Wednesday, and the funeral took place Friday afternoon. Although Miss McCurdy has not been a resident of the town very long, she had made many friends among the young people, especially of the Methodist Church, of which she was a member. She also took an active part in the League and Sunday School, whenever health permitted and among the many floral tributes were several from these friends. Her young friends in the Epworth League at her former home in Holland also sent beautiful tributes, and a number of friends and relatives from a distance attended the funeral. The interment was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery, the pallbearers being; M. and C. Secor, W. Groce, A.C. Goodwin and two cousins of the deceased Messrs. Storrey. The services were conducted by a former pastor of Miss McCurdy's, Rev. C.L. Bowlby, now of Hamilton.
