U16 boys claim SRSL premier division After winning the South Region Soccer League's first division last year, the Oakville Soccer Club's under-16 boys' B team claimed the SRSL's premier division crown this season. Oakville locked up the title with a 1-0 win over the Mississauga Falcons in the Rep Soccer championship game. Aryan Gharemanzadeh scored the lone goal of the contest, beating the Falcons keeper from 15 yards out in the 35th minute, and Oakville keeper Johnny Rego preserved the lead the rest of the way. "(This team is) a fantastic group of boys, many of whom I have had the honour and privilege to coach for almost 10 years. I have never coached a team of boys that was so well balanced with skill and determination," said Oakville coach Brett Huntington. "What was most exciting was the willingness of the boys to support each other on and off the field to improve." The U16 boys' B team finished the season with a record of 10 wins, three losses and a tie. Other members of the team are Hunter Gutman, Hakeem Madahay, Sachin Maharaj, Ferras Mourad, Luke Carenza, David MacKenzie, Jack Pereira, Luke DeRango, Mohamed Sheikh, Craig Mackie, Justin Bush, Oldri Kecaj, Cedric Sobotta, Michael Ferrari and Luka Milic. Bruno Pereira also coaches the team, and John MacKenzie is the manager. FOR ONLY $79 + HST!
